The Words Alive Art and Literacy program is an opportunity for our students to look at literacy through a different lens and find meaningful relationships with the text that they are reading and their world. Students will have an opportunity to make intrinsic connections to written text and a form of art they create. This year our partners at the Chuck Jones Center for Creativity have helped train our volunteers to work with the students on creating a stop motion animation film around the theme of "presence." They will also be hosting our culminating event at the Chuck Jones Gallery in San Diego to showcase our student artwork.
We are looking for sponsors to help support the work that we are doing this Spring with our students. Sponsorship will help cover the cost of programming and help us sustain the important work that we are doing with over 300 teens.
We are happy to recognize sponsors in a way that is meaningful to you and design an experience that will best represent your relationship with Words Alive. For more information please contact Development Director, Susan Arias at susan@wordsalive.org or (858) 274-9673.
